Job summary

Oregon Health Authority is seeking a Senior Budget Analyst to support the Budget Planning and Analysis Unit. The role focuses on budget development, complex forecasting, and monitoring to ensure programs are funded appropriately while aligning with state and federal requirements.

The position requires deep expertise in budgeting processes, data analysis, and policy evaluation. It offers hybrid/remote work flexibility and opportunities to influence agency-wide financial strategy.

Qualifications

• Six years of progressively responsible experience that included the preparation, analysis, and administration of a budget or fiscal system.
• Experience must have included modeling and forecasting fiscal information.
• Bachelor's degree may substitute for three years; graduate degree may substitute for four years.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Budget Planning and Analysis Unit and perform budget analysis activities.
• Engage in project management, budget monitoring, and forecasting of cost impacts.
• Contribute to policy strategy development and analyze financial impacts of proposed policies.
• Deliver data and reports to top agency officials and stakeholders to inform decisions.
• Coordinate cross-program budgets and ensure programs are supported by revenues by evaluating expenditures to budget.
