Job summary

Samsonite International S.A. seeks a Sr. Accountant for a hybrid role in Mansfield, NY, four days on site and one day remote. You will deliver timely monthly journal entries, reconciliations, cost reporting, and support FP&A and management with analytics.

You will also maintain SOX controls, intercompany balances, and standard operating procedures while partnering with auditors and cross‑functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in accounting/finance required.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Auditing readiness and SOP documentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Create and maintain purchase orders.
• Provide analytics to FP&A and management.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly SOX controls.
• Prepare Cost Center expense reporting for management.
• Partner with internal and external auditors.
• Manage intercompany balances and transactions.
• Maintain various accounting schedules.
• Conduct financial analysis as needed.
• Prepare Purchase Orders load in SAP.
• Establish and maintain SOPs and processes.
