Job summary

GEMCORE, based in Hudson, Ohio, seeks a Senior Accountant to strengthen FP&A, general accounting and corporate finance support. You will implement ideas, support daily finance activities and build lasting cross-functional relationships in a growing multi-state company.

Ideal candidates will have strong business acumen, 4–6 years of accounting experience and comfort with a challenging environment as the team expands. This hybrid role offers growth and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; MBA/Finance master’s a plus.
• 4–6 years of general accounting experience including financial analysis.
• Experience with GAAP and balance sheet close processes.

Responsibilities

• Record financial information to the general ledger in GAAP.
• Plan and perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and analyses of revenue and expense accounts.
• Prepare internal and external financial statements.
• Assist with internal management reporting and external audit support.
• Design, implement and execute internal control procedures.
• Forecast budgets by compiling data on financial commitments and obligations incurred.
• Review sales and use tax laws in all 50 states and Washington, DC.
