Job summary

DOOR, Inc. in St. Louis is seeking a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and reconciliations.

This hands-on role collaborates with the Controller and Finance team to ensure accurate financials and compliance with US GAAP. The position requires five-plus years of progressive accounting experience, strong Excel and NetSuite knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This hybrid role offers weekday office presence in St.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Experience supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
• Experience preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close activities.
• Own assigned balance sheet accounts, including complex reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Manage internally-developed software capitalization process (ASC 350-40).
• Assist with maintaining the general ledger and ensuring financial data integrity.
• Prepare variance analyses and supporting schedules for management review.
• Support accounting for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, inventory, cash, and intercompany transactions.
• Assist with expense tracking, account analysis, and transaction research.
• Ensure accounting records comply with US GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audit requests.
• Assist with the preparation of external SEC reporting including tie-outs of the reports.
• Support banking activities, cash reporting, and treasury-related tasks.
• Help improve accounting processes and identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency.
