Job summary

Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines seeks an Information Security Analyst II to monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity events within a multi-platform security ecosystem. You will support threat detection, incident investigations, vulnerability management, and security administration to protect critical systems and data.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in Information Security, SOC, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
• Experience investigating security alerts and responding to incidents.
• Experience with enterprise security technologies.
• Knowledge of SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, Email Security, NMS, AD/Azure AD/Entra ID, Windows and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM, EDR, email, cloud, identity and network security tools.
• Analyze events for validity, impact, severity and response.
• Investigate incidents with containment and remediation coordination.
• Escalate incidents per IR procedures.
• Contribute to containment, eradication, recovery and post-incident reviews.
• Document investigations, findings and remediation actions.
• Perform threat hunting and correlate events across platforms.
• Review IOCs/IOAs and monitor threat intelligence.
• Recommend defensive improvements and tune detections.
• Support vulnerability management and remediation tracking.
• Maintain runbooks and test security controls.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, Networking, Dev, Risk, IT Ops.
• Participate in tabletop exercises and on-call rotations.
