Job summary
University Health Partners of Hawai'i is hiring a Charter School RN to support school health services and mentor Charter School Health Technicians (HK Program) under the Hawaii Keiki initiative. The role combines clinical nursing with program leadership, health guidance, and collaboration with school staff to promote student well-being and academic success.
The hybrid position requires an RN with an Associate Degree, Hawaii license, BLS, and at least two years in pediatric or public health
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- Current unrestricted RN license in Hawai'i
- BLS for healthcare providers
- 2 years of experience in pediatric nursing or related fields
- Knowledge of HIPAA and FERPA rules
- OSHA bloodborne pathogen regulations
Responsibilities
- Provide professional development and supervision to Charter School Health Technicians
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers and staff to support student health and well-being
- Attend committees and stakeholder groups to support school nursing practice
- Be physically present at supervising schools weekly; work 1 administrative day per week
- Hybrid work arrangement: 1 day from home, 4 days at school sites
