Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a School Psychologist to support K-12 students in a Hampton, VA area district. The contract runs August 24 through June 4, with a full-time schedule and potential hybrid work arrangements.

You will conduct psychoeducational assessments, provide direct counseling, collaborate with teachers and families, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain compliant case records. Virginia license, K-12 experience, and adaptability to in-person/hybrid work are required.

Qualifications

• Current, active Virginia School Psychologist license.
• Experience working with K-12 age groups.
• Adaptable to both in-person and hybrid work environments.
• Strong communication, consultation, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to culturally responsive, student-centered practices.
• Ability to contribute positively within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Complete psychoeducational assessments for students in grades K-12.
• Provide direct counseling and consultation services.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop effective interventions.
• Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility conferences, and student support teams.
• Maintain thorough documentation and case records in compliance with district standards.
• Assist with crisis intervention and planning as needed.
