Job summary

Backpack Healthcare, LLC is hiring clinicians to provide mental health services in schools with telehealth support. The role blends in-person school-based care with virtual visits to maintain continuity during breaks and closures.

You’ll conduct intake, develop trauma-informed treatment plans, and deliver individual, group, and family therapy while collaborating with school staff and families. Flexible scheduling enables meaningful impact in students’ lives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field is required.
• Active Maryland license: LCSW-C, LMSW, LCPC, LGPC, LCMFT.
• Minimum 1 year of therapy experience with children/adolescents.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and school systems.
• Strong cultural competence and commitment to culturally responsive care.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Passion for increasing access to mental healthcare for underserved youth.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy in-person and via telehealth.
• Conduct intake evaluations and risk assessments.
• Create trauma-informed, individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain a consistent in-person schedule at assigned school sites.
• Deliver telehealth sessions to ensure continuity of care.
• Document clinically in Backpack’s EHR accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with school staff, pediatricians, families, and clinical team.
• Support school teams with behavioral health challenges and crisis response.
• Lead wellness workshops for caregivers, educators, and administrators.
• Participate in supervision if pre-licensed.
