Job summary

Backpack Healthcare is seeking licensed mental health clinicians to provide in-school and telehealth therapy for children and adolescents in Maryland. This hybrid Fee-for-Service W-2 role blends school-based care with telehealth to support continuity during breaks.

You’ll conduct intake, develop trauma-informed treatment plans, deliver individual/group/family therapy, and collaborate with school staff and families to improve access to care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and active Maryland license required.
• Minimum 1 year of therapy experience with children/adolescents.
• Trauma-informed care and school systems familiarity.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Commitment to increasing access to mental healthcare for underserved youth.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy to students in person and via telehealth.
• Conduct intake evaluations and risk assessments.
• Create trauma-informed, individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain in-person schedules at school sites and deliver telehealth sessions.
• Document clinical activities accurately in Backpack's EHR.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and clinical team; support crisis response.
• Lead wellness workshops for caregivers, educators, and administrators.
• Participate in supervision if pre-licensed.
