Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a motivated SAP Commerce Cloud - Junior Developer to join our Chicago-based hybrid team. The role targets early-career software professionals with 1–2 years of hands-on experience, focusing on Java and Spring-based solutions in an enterprise context.

You will work with senior engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software while following modern DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
• 1 to 2 years of hands-on, real-world software development experience.
• Experience developing applications with Java; experience with the latest Java versions is preferred.
• Experience with the Spring Framework; familiarity with the latest Spring ecosystem is highly desirable.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and software development best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using Java and Spring technologies.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
