Job summary
City and County of Denver, Department of Transportation & Infrastructure, is seeking a full‑time Engineer to join the Right-of-Way Services (ROWS) Engineering Plan Review Transportation team in a hybrid work setting. You will apply city rules to reviews, coordinate with designers and utilities, and guide private development through transportation standards.
The role requires a PE registration, a Bachelor's in Engineering, and 4+ years of engineering experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required with four years of engineer experience.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Colorado by start date.
- Experience in review/design/inspection of transportation and utility plans helpful.
Responsibilities
- Review private land development and capital project plans for ROW compliance.
- Apply DOTI rules and standards to engineering and architectural plans.
- Collaborate with developers, consultants, utilities and City staff.
- Provide technical guidance and customer service throughout the process.
- Occasional field reviews to verify compliance with approved plans.
