Job summary

Yale Cancer Center is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant in New Haven to provide direct clinical and data management support for clinical trials. You will coordinate patient care from recruitment through follow‑up, abstract and verify data for sponsor reporting, and assist in trial documentation.

Working within the Yale Cancer Center/Clinical Trials Office, you’ll use Excel and EMR/database tools in a regulated, high‑volume research setting.

Qualifications

Proficient Excel and Word; EMR/database use.
Coordinate patient/study participant care from recruitment through follow-up.
Ability to abstract and maintain a study data repository with source verification.
Experience with research data reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

Researches and collects data through site or home visit intakes; library research; structured interviews; or other means.
Interprets, synthesizes, and analyzes data using scientific or statistical techniques; assists in research design.
Writes and edits material for publication and presentation; reports on status of research activities.
Schedules and coordinates research activities; identifies and recruits study participants; orders and maintains supplies.
May assist in preparing financial information and monitoring budgets.
Performs additional functions incidental to research activities.
