Job summary

In this hybrid role, you will post payments, verify eligibility, obtain prior authorizations, prepare and submit claims, reconcile cash receipts, monitor denials, and collaborate with Billing, Collections, Intake, and client teams while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in billing, cash posting, or insurance verification.
• Experience with accounts receivable and electronic reimbursement systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, EHRs, and practice management software.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in the office (Milford).

Responsibilities

• Post payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts.
• Reconcile daily and monthly cash receipts and resolve discrepancies.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements.
• Obtain and track prior authorizations to support timely billing.
• Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims accurately.
• Monitor outstanding claims and follow up on unpaid accounts.
• Partner with Billing, Collections, Intake, and client teams to resolve reimbursement issues.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and organizational policies.
