Job summary

DLC Management Corp. is seeking a Construction Project Manager in Chicago to oversee all phases of retail construction projects. You will initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.

The role requires 5–10 years of construction operations experience, the ability to travel regularly, and proficiency with Procore, MS Project, and MS Office. A hybrid work model and robust benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture.
• Experience leading construction projects, preferable in retail assets.
• Ability to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with VP of Construction to transition projects from estimating to execution.
• Maintain the master construction program schedule with milestones and phases.
• Manage design team: RFPs, contracts, reviews, and tenant coordination.
• Secure municipal entitlements; oversee permits submission and issuance.
• Lead construction team and vendors; monitor quality and adherence to schedules.
• Conduct site inspections; identify risks and ensure safety compliance.
• Provide status updates on milestones, budgets, and issues to stakeholders.
• Review contracts, invoices, change orders, and lien waivers.
• Ensure landlord deliverables are met per lease/work letters; manage risk.
• Ensure accuracy of project docs in Procore.
• Coordinate close-out with DLC Tenant Coordinator and tenants.
• Carry out project evaluations for continuous improvement.
