Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Research Scientist 2 in Louisville, KY to join the HQRI team. You will design studies, manage data, and apply advanced statistical methods to evaluate risk adjustment programs in Medicare/Medicaid contexts.

You'll collaborate with data science and actuarial analytics colleagues, translate findings into actionable insights, and help drive operational strategies. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days in the office per week.

Qualifications

• Research design, data prep, and statistical analysis in healthcare analytics.
• 2 years of experience applying statistical modeling, predictive analytics, ML or quantitative methods in healthcare/insurance/data science.
• Strong programming in Python and SQL with experience in Databricks or PySpark.
• Experience building, calibrating, validating, and interpreting predictive models.
• Exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model performance assessment on large datasets.
• Ability to translate analytical findings into actionable business insights and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
