Job summary

Massachusetts General Hospital's laboratory led by Sydney Cash MD, PhD uses invasive and non-invasive brain activity measures (ECoG, EEG, MEG, fMRI) and MRI to study cognitive function and epilepsy with aims toward neurotechnologies and brain-computer interfaces.

We seek a motivated, detail-oriented data acquisition assistant to support patient studies over two years and contribute to data organization and analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 1–2 years of lab experience preferred.
• Grace period for degree verification: 6 months, up to 1 year per diem.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory experiments following established protocols and procedures.
• Prepare and handle samples, reagents, and solutions, ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, calibrating and troubleshooting as needed.
• Record experimental data accurately and maintain organized records.
• Compile and analyze data using appropriate statistical methods.
• Assist in data interpretation and presentation of findings.
