Job summary

North Carolina State University Libraries seeks a Research Data Facilitator to provide lifecycle research data management support across disciplines, consulting with faculty and student researchers on data storage, sharing, and preservation.

You will work with RFS, OIT, and ORI to develop data management plans, identify repositories, and deliver training and outreach materials. Based in Raleigh, NC with hybrid work allowing occasional on-site work.

Qualifications

• ALA-accredited MLS, MIS, or equivalent advanced degree.
• Demonstrated knowledge of best practices for research data management.
• Experience providing research data support and awareness of compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide lifecycle research data management support across disciplines from planning to closeout.
• Consult with faculty and student researchers on data storage, movement, sharing and preservation best practices.
• Develop and deliver training, workshops, documentation, and outreach materials for researchers.
• Collaborate with RFS, OIT and Libraries colleagues to support data management plans and open data sharing.
