Latent Labs Ltd. is seeking a curious Research Assistant to join our team at the interface of generative AI and biology in San Francisco.

The role focuses on mammalian cell culture, cell-based assays, and high-throughput screening (HTS), working closely with lead scientists to execute and optimize assays using our proprietary models. You will receive mentorship, own routine lab workflows, and contribute to reliable, reproducible data while developing experimental skills and collaborating across

Qualifications

• Relevant education and laboratory experience.
• Hands-on mammalian cell culture skills.
• Experience with HTS or high-throughput assay workflows.
• A foundation in experimental biology.
• Careful data handling and documentation.
• A collaborative, curious approach.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mammalian cell cultures. Perform routine cell culture and prepare cells for screening experiments.
• Execute high-throughput screening workflows. Run plate-based assays with controls in 96- or 384-well formats.
• Support assay development and optimization. Test conditions and troubleshoot issues.
• Use laboratory automation. Operate liquid handlers, plate readers following procedures.
• Document and summarize results. Maintain records in Benchling or similar ELN.
• Support daily laboratory operations. Prepare reagents, maintain supplies, keep equipment ready.
