The position is hybrid for Southeast Michigan residents and fully remote for others, with a compensation of $22–$30 per hour, dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Comfort with difficult middle-school math and understanding why it works.
• Ability to facilitate multiple student approaches and guide exploration.
• Experience helping students learn independently and collaborate with peers.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to work with diverse groups with tact and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate small-group and whole-class math discussions using engaging puzzles.
• Build a math community and encourage peer collaboration among scholars.
• Monitor attendance and track student progress throughout the program.
