Chesapeake Utilities Corporation invites energetic students to join as a Summer Intern in Energy Utility Project Management, offering hybrid remote work and Florida location.

You will support project managers, learn planning, scheduling, cost control, and reporting within a regulated energy utility. This hands‑on experience builds fundamentals in project management while collaborating with cross‑functional teams and gaining real‑world insight into safe, reliable energy delivery.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma, pursuing an undergraduate degree in a related major (i.e. Project Management, Engineering, etc)

Responsibilities

• Support project managers with planning, coordination, documentation, and follow‑up on project tasks, meetings, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
• Assist with developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking milestones, action items, dependencies, and risks to help keep work on target.
• Help prepare project estimates, budgets, forecasts, and cost updates while learning how scope, schedule, and resources impact overall project performance.
• Monitor project controls data, including schedules, costs, progress updates, and reporting dashboards, to support timely decision‑making.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to gather project information, update documentation, analyze trends, and identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting.
• Gain hands‑on exposure to both project management and project controls practices within a regulated energy utility environment.
