Job summary

Colonial Group in Greenwich, CT offers a hybrid Regulatory Reporting Operations Analyst role within our Compliance team. You will oversee the end-to-end regulatory reporting lifecycle, resolve discrepancies, and manage inquiries across Legal, Compliance, and Trading desks.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in regulatory reporting within financial services, strong Excel, and experience with TRACE, RTRS, and TRF/ORF. Collaboration with multiple units is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; MBA/CFA is a plus.
• Minimum 3–5 years in regulatory reporting within financial services, preferably in compliance, operations, or middle-office.
• Proven experience with regulatory reporting systems such as FINRA TRACE, MSRB RTRS, FINRA TRF/ORF.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros).
• Experience with UNIX commands, SQL, Python or similar programming languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in regulatory exception reports across desks and product types.
• Serve as main point of contact for regulatory inquiries; respond with explanations and escalate complex issues.
• Coordinate with IT, Operations, and Business Units to implement system enhancements and updates; lead internal audits.
• Maintain and update regulatory reporting WSPs and control documentation reflecting requirements.
• Manage data inputs into regulatory reporting systems (TRACE, RTRS, TRF/ORF) and liaise with system admins to fix issues.
• Collaborate with Middle Office, Trading Desks, Legal and Internal Audit to ensure alignment and timely resolution.
