Job summary

UFG Insurance in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting - Regulatory to lead the preparation and filing of statutory financial statements, regulatory and statistical filings, and premium tax reporting. You will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory accounting principles while coordinating with actuaries, tax, and IT teams.

In this role you will mentor the team, drive process improvements, and support regulatory examinations in a fast-paced insurance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• CPA certification preferred.
• 10+ years of insurance accounting experience with 5+ years in statutory reporting.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct preparation, review, and filing of statutory annual and quarterly financial statements and regulatory filings.
• Review and approve statutory and statistical schedules and disclosures.
• Coordinate capital adequacy calculations (RBC/BCAR) and monitor key metrics.
• Analyze operating results and financial trends to advise Finance leadership.
• Collaborate with Actuarial, Reinsurance, Tax, Investments, and FP&A to ensure data integrity.
