Job summary

Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Louisiana seeks a Registered Dietitian to join the Cura Hospitality team. You will identify and assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and improve quality of life in line with patient goals.

This is a hybrid role with emphasis on clinical and educational duties. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to tailor meals, update care plans, and support nursing staff while pursuing professional growth and licensure support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition with default eligibility for licensure.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national exam by CDR or eligible.
• Maintains 75 hours CE every five years per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified as per state requirements.
• Knowledge of assessment, care planning, and residents’ rights regulations.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide Nutrition Assessments for admissions, quarterly and annual reviews, tube feedings, weight changes, wounds, and significant changes in ADLs.
• Deliver nutrition education to residents as needed.
• Create and update care plans for nurses and CNAs to reference at meals and snacks.
• Complete MDS for Section K and CAAs.
• Use nutrition-focused physical exams to identify malnutrition per ASPEN criteria.
• Conduct care conferences with families to discuss changes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in weekly clinical meetings.
• Attend QAPI and Quality Improvement meetings each quarter.
• Perform monthly kitchen inspections and meal service audits.
