Job summary

We are seeking a Registered Dietitian at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Louisiana. This hybrid role with Cura Hospitality offers opportunities to assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and improve residents’ quality of life.

The position welcomes new graduates and experienced professionals. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, conduct nutrition assessments, educate residents, and contribute to care plans and MDS processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or meets Academy requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition assessments for admissions, quarterly assessments, annual assessments, tube feedings, weight changes, wounds, and significant changes.
• Nutrition education for residents as needed.
• Create and update care plans for nurses/CNAs/CMAs to reference at meals.
• Complete MDS for Section K and CAAs.
• Use nutrition-focused physical exam to identify malnutrition per ASPEN criteria.
• Attend care conference meetings with families to update on changes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team during weekly clinical meetings.
• Participate in QAPI Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement meetings each quarter.
• Conduct monthly kitchen inspections and meal service audits.

Education
