Job summary

HHS is recruiting a Registered Dietitian to support Bayhealth in Dover and Milford, Delaware. The role pays starting at $70,000 per year, negotiable by experience, plus a $3,000 RD sign-on bonus.

A 32- or 40-hour workweek with full benefits and a hybrid-remote schedule is available. This position involves completing nutritional assessments to create care plans, educating patients and staff on diets, and coordinating with physicians on nutritional status.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed per state regulations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics or related field.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and ability to use standard computer software.

Responsibilities

• Complete nutritional assessments for residents to create care plans with nutritional goals.
• Educate patients/residents, families, nursing, and dietary staff on special diets and dining needs.
• Document assessments and nutritional goals in the medical record; review daily menu, snacks and supplement programs.
• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff on patients’/ residents’ nutritional status; attend rounds and nutrition meetings.

Complete nutritional assessments for all residents to create care plans with nutritional goals

Provide education to patients/residents, families, nursing, dietary service, and other community staff on issues regarding special diets and patient/resident dining needs

Document assessment of patients/residents with nutritional goals and interventions in the medical record

Review and approve patients’/residents' daily menu, snack, and supplement programs

Communicate with physicians and clinical staff on patients’/ residents’ nutritional status

Attend resident rounds and nutrition meetings, and maintain clinical nutrition policies to support regulatory compliance

Requirements
