Job summary

A leading library services organization is seeking a Reference Librarian to provide exceptional reference and research services. This hybrid role requires at least 1-2 days on-site for reference desk coverage. The ideal candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Library Science or be enrolled in a related program, with at least two years of relevant experience. Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a special or federal library.
• Proficiency in using research tools like Ebsco and Scopus.
• Must be able to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide reference services to patrons via phone, email, or in-person.
• Cover reference desk during designated hours.
• Participate in collection development activities.

Skills

Proficiency in print and online resources

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to respond to complex reference questions

Experience with Ebsco, Scopus, Web of Science

Self-starter, able to work independently

Education

Master’s degree in Library/Information Science
