Responsibilities

• Provide direct assistance to NC-based recycling companies and new entrants to support DEQ’s strategic efforts.
• Serve as a technical resource on recycled material supply, financing options, and grant programs.
• Assist manufacturers to expand the use of secondary materials in production.
• Review grant funding applications and oversee grant projects and contracts.
• Conduct studies and research to guide technical assistance and market development.
• Analyze business and recycling market data and communicate findings via reports and presentations.
• Conduct site visits, trainings, and distribute information on best management practices.
• Collaborate with staff and external partners to support the Division’s priorities.
