Qualifications

College degree and/or Paralegal certificate; real estate paralegal experience.
Three to five years of commercial/transactional real estate paralegal experience in a law firm.
Ability to read and understand legal descriptions, title reports, leases, loan documents and contracts.
Familiarity with balancing escrow disbursements.

Responsibilities

Order/review tract, ownership, judgment, tax lien, and UCC searches.
Order/review title commitments, surveys, endorsements, and related documents.
Order duplicate tax bills and corporate documents; obtain Good Standing certificates.
Prepare/answer title objection letters; negotiate title clearance matters.
Prepare/review mortgages, assignments, and related financing documents.
Prepare/analyze loan documents and due diligence materials.
Review zoning applications and related due diligence.
