The role requires interpreting complex documents, coordinating with title companies and vendors, and preparing closing checklists and abstracts. This is a hybrid position with three days in the Baltimore, Minneapolis, or Washington, D.C. offices.

Qualifications

• Commercial real estate experience with a law firm, title company, lender, or related entity.
• Experience reviewing title, survey and zoning documents is required.
• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing title, survey, and zoning documents, coordinating with title companies, surveyors, and vendors to resolve discrepancies and secure final title policies.
• Preparation and tracking of legal closing checklists.
• Organizing, tracking, and reviewing due diligence documents, including property level due diligence and organizational documents.
• Preparing summaries of due diligence documents, including drafting full abstracts of complicated agreements.
• Drafting routine and more complex transaction documents.
• Ordering, tracking, and reviewing legal searches from third-party vendors and summarizing issues.
• Preparing and filing UCCs and other required filings.
