Job summary

State of South Carolina through the Department of Public Health seeks a Registered Dietitian to deliver nutrition care for CYSHCN and high-risk clients in a public health setting. You will assess, plan, and coordinate nutrition services, including formula administration and interdisciplinary collaboration, with emphasis on quality improvement and staff development.

The role requires licensure or eligibility as an SC RD, a master’s degree in nutrition, and CSP credential preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or registration eligible.
• Licensed with SC Board of Dietetic Registration or eligible for SC license.
• Experience in clinical dietetics or public health nutrition.
• CSP credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose nutritional status for high-risk clients using the NCP.
• Develop and implement nutrition care plans with counseling and referrals.
• Provide care coordination with WIC, nursing, therapists, physicians, schools, and social workers.
• Administer formulas and monitor usage; track formula caseloads and documentation.
• Support quality assurance and evaluation of CYSHCN nutrition services.
• Mentor staff and participate in trainings; travel if required.
