Job summary

States Billing is seeking a dedicated RCM Specialist to join our Austin, TX team in a full-time hybrid role. You will manage end-to-end revenue cycle activities, including eligibility verification, charge capture, claims submission, and payment posting, while reducing denials and accelerating reimbursements.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD coding basics, payer rules, and experience with billing software, practice management systems, and revenue analytics.

Qualifications

• Experience with core RCM functions: eligibility verification, charge capture, submission, denial management, and A/R recovery.
• Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD coding basics and payer rules.
• Proficiency with billing software, practice management systems, and revenue analytics.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret EOBs and payer communications.
• Effective written and verbal communication for providers, payers, and staff.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hybrid environment.
• Understanding of HIPAA and payer guidelines in healthcare billing.
• Experience with multi-specialty or multi-location practices is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end revenue cycle activities including eligibility verification, charge capture, claim creation and submission, and payment posting.
• Monitor denials, perform A/R follow-up, and collaborate with payers to improve reimbursement timelines.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and support coding/billing compliance.
• Review reports, identify trends in denials, and recommend process improvements to strengthen revenue integrity.
• Maintain provider credentialing data as needed.
