Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a quantitative/science field.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, C/C++, .NET, MATLAB).
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts.
  • Innate curiosity with a passion for applying technology to solve problems.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Interest in financial markets and/or quantitative investing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Self-motivated with a solid work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prototype and implement research models; test and document changes.
  • Develop and improve monitoring, data visualization, and analytics capabilities.
  • Improve and maintain our library of software functions.
  • Participate in code and design reviews of research software.
  • Improve the design and efficiency of systems; contribute to simulation/back-testing platforms.
  • Monitor, support, and troubleshoot live models with production teams.
  • Analyze procedures with users and suggest improvements.
  • Provide data to other departments and respond to performance questions.
  • Stay current with industry trends and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Contribute to scientific research by advancing models and finance knowledge.
