Job summary

Campbell & Company in Baltimore is seeking a Researcher (Options) to translate models into programmatic trading strategies and help evolve the firm’s options trading program. You will work with the options research team to impact the portfolio in a mentorship-driven environment emphasizing intellectual curiosity.

The role focuses on strategy development, quantitative modeling, and coding to generate trading signals, with collaboration across leadership.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in a quantitative discipline and 2+ years of experience.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and investment concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of options pricing, Greeks, and derivative mathematics.
  • Proficiency in a computational programming language such as Python or MATLAB.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and results in writing and speaking.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, intellectually curious, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new systematic options strategies and risk management methods.
  • Apply mathematical frameworks to options and derivative pricing.
  • Develop trading signals from theoretical and empirical research.
  • Monitor production portfolios and suggest solutions to production issues.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Options Research and contribute to seminars and papers.
  • Stay abreast of academic research and market developments in volatility trading.
