Job summary

CAI is seeking a Quality Assurance Tester for a contract role with hybrid work arrangements in the United States. The position requires 5+ years in software quality assurance, test case creation, and experience in Agile environments, plus familiarity with Snowflake, Salesforce, and Tableau.

You will review requirements, design tests, execute test scenarios, log defects, and collaborate with development teams to ensure software meets functional and non-functional requirements, including education

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related technical field.
• 5+ years in software quality assurance and testing.
• 5+ years creating test cases, test scripts, and acceptance criteria.
• 5+ years executing test cases under varying conditions.
• 5+ years documenting and evaluating test results.
• 5+ years detecting, logging, and reporting software defects and program bugs.
• 5+ years tracking defects and troubleshooting errors.
• 5+ years creating test procedures and training materials.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional project teams.
• 3+ years experience with K-12 education data
• 3+ years Snowflake, Salesforce, Tableau
• 3+ years automation testing tools
• Experience supporting large-scale government or public-sector tech initiatives

Responsibilities

• Review project requirements, specifications, and business expectations to develop comprehensive testing plans.
• Create functional and non-functional test cases, test scripts, and acceptance criteria.
• Execute test cases under varying conditions to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Document, evaluate, and communicate testing results to stakeholders.
• Detect, log, track, and report software defects and program bugs.
• Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.
• Create testing procedures, user guidance, and training materials to support application quality initiatives.
• Identify, recommend, and implement testing methodologies and quality assurance strategies.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, reviews, and testing activities.
• Collaborate with project team members regarding application development, customer issues, and security requirements.
• Support testing efforts for systems containing K-12 education data.
• Assist with validation and quality assurance activities involving Snowflake, Salesforce, Tableau, and automated testing solutions when applicable
