Job summary

Savan Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Tester / Front-End Developer to support the HUB application, with a QA-first hybrid role focused on functional quality, regression coverage, and usability. You will validate requirements, reproduce defects, and contribute small-to-medium front-end changes using React, TypeScript, and MUI.

Qualifications

• Extensive manual functional and regression testing experience in a production web app.
• Ability to translate requirements and acceptance criteria into repeatable test cases.
• Hands-on React and TypeScript experience in modern front-end apps.
• Documentation of defect repro steps and clear communication with developers.
• Familiarity with browser dev tools and basic API concepts.
• SQL literacy to validate data and collaborate with backend teams.
• Experience validating role-based permissions and edge cases.
• Awareness of accessibility principles (WCAG/Section 508).
• Experience with Azure DevOps or Jira for defects and release traceability.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute manual functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.
• Validate workflows for different user roles and permissions.
• Write clear test cases with prerequisites and evidence for regression.
• Reproduce defects with steps, expected vs actual results, and evidence.
• Review requirements to identify gaps and usability risks.
• Implement targeted front-end fixes using React/TypeScript and MUI.
• Assess usability and accessibility of UI changes (keyboard, labels, focus).
• Use dev tools, API responses, logs, and SQL to isolate issues.
• Maintain Azure DevOps work-items and test evidence for traceability.
• Support release validation in test and production environments.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to improve UX.
• Contribute to regression-suit maintenance and high-risk workflows.
