Job summary

SGS Consulting in Boston seeks a QA Engineer to analyze, design, build, and execute test cases for new and existing software, including SAP ERP systems. You will maintain documentation of test results to assist debugging and collaborate with development engineers to resolve issues.

You will deploy and troubleshoot QA tools such as Tricentis TOSCA and Impact Analysis/Live Compare, write and run SQL queries, test web applications and ERP systems, and prepare reports on software quality and project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience applying industry-standard SQA practices.
• Experience with test management tools such as Jira.
• Strong bug identification and tracking abilities.
• Experience writing and executing test scripts.
• Ability to define test strategies and develop test plans.
• Monitoring of testing procedures and compliance.
• Experience in software validation and unit testing.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Self-starter and independent problem solver.
• Experience with Tricentis TOSCA and SAP QA tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, build, and execute test cases for new and existing functionality.
• Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
• Plan, deploy, and troubleshoot QA tools, including Tricentis TOSCA and Impact Analysis/Live Compare for SAP.
• Analyze test results to ensure proper functionality and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with development engineers to resolve issues.
• Write and execute SQL queries against various data sources.
• Test web applications, standalone software, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Support training development and documentation.
• Prepare and deliver reports on software quality and project testing activities.
