American Society for Quality is seeking a Software QA Engineer in Newark, NJ to lead hands-on testing across mobile, web, and backend services. You will design, execute, and maintain test plans and cases to ensure product quality.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, defect analysis, and contributing to automation efforts. A hybrid schedule requires onsite presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with standard workdays otherwise in the US.

Formación

• Hands-on experience in software QA across mobile, web, and backend systems.
• Experience with functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Familiar with defect tracking tools such as Jira and analyzing logs.
• Working knowledge of Linux environments and test automation concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Telecommunications experience is strongly preferred, particularly with mission-critical communications or push-to-talk (PTT) software.

Responsabilidades

• Perform functional, integration, regression, and acceptance testing across mobile applications, web applications, backend services, and third-party integrations.
• Investigate defects, analyze application and server logs, and help identify root causes.
• Develop, maintain, and execute test cases and validation plans.
• Identify opportunities for test automation and contribute to automated testing efforts.
• Monitor quality metrics, defect trends, and test coverage to support release readiness.
• Collaborate with development, product, and delivery teams to resolve issues and continuously improve software quality.
