Job summary

SPN Solutions seeks a QA, Section 508 Accessibility and Technical Documentation Specialist in Fairfax, VA. You will verify bilingual parity for English/Spanish, perform accessibility tests, and author guides and compliance docs. Hybrid work with occasional travel supports a federal health software project.

Required: CS degree or related field, 5+ years QA, 508/IAAP credentials, and hands-on screen readers. Remote work not excluded, but office presence in Fairfax is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field with 5+ years of QA experience; 9 years can substitute.
• DHS Section 508 Trusted Tester certification or IAAP WAS/CPACC within hire or 90 days.
• Hands-on manual testing with JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver against WCAG 2.1 AA.
• Test automation in CI using Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
• Experience in healthcare informatics or public health systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and run the branching test matrix for all submitter types and reports.
• Verify English/Spanish parity across UI and validation messages.
• Perform assistive-technology testing with JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver.
• Prepare Accessibility Conformance Reports and 508 documentation.
• Classify defects accurately for severity in the customer’s process.
• Write and edit technical guides and architecture documents.
• Ensure release deliverables are accurate and 508 compliant.
• Test document-suggestion feature for accuracy before release.
