Job summary

The Matlen Silver Group, Inc. is seeking a Python Developer for a 12+ month hybrid role in NYC. You will join a collaborative technology team to support and enhance critical business applications, data processes, and analytics solutions in finance.

The role focuses on overnight processes, analytics for Risk, backend improvements, and cross-functional collaboration with Risk, Finance, and Operations. Strong Python, Pandas, SQL, and REST API experience required.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Python development skills and experience with Pandas/DataFrames.
• Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries and REST APIs.
• Exposure to financial services or financial data is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based applications and services.
• Build and support data pipelines, real-time data feeds, and REST API integrations.
• Work with large datasets using Pandas and DataFrames.
• Develop SQL queries and support data management initiatives.
• Assist with projection modeling and financial data analysis.
• Provide support for overnight business-critical processes and troubleshoot production issues as needed.
• Monitor system events and participate in issue resolution efforts.
• Collaborate with Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams on new initiatives and enhancements.
• Contribute to backend system improvements, migrations, and ongoing technical projects.
• Help improve the stability, efficiency, and scalability of existing solutions.
