Job summary

Washington University in Saint Louis is seeking a Public Health Research Coordinator II to support complex clinical studies at the Siteman Cancer Center. This hybrid role collaborates with investigators, sponsors, and participants to ensure protocol adherence, data collection, and timely study progress.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in public health research, experience coordinating multiple studies, and the ability to develop recruitment plans, manage data, and prepare

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• Public Health (2 Years) work experience.
• No specific certification/professional license is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Confers with investigator to assist in developing plans for research projects and discuss the interpretation of results; collaborates in the preparation of manuscripts for publications and grant proposals to sponsoring agencies; assists in the preparation of amendments to protocols and/or modifications to study design as appropriate.
• Coordinates development of forms, questionnaires, and application of research techniques; assists in writing manuals for study progress, data collection and coding; reviews journals and literature to aid in planning new studies.
• Routinely and with increasing independence implements and ensures timely completion of all phases of study/protocol; assists investigator with recruitment plan; ensures compliance with protocol guidelines and regulatory requirements; maintains records; analyzes data; reports adverse events; notifies investigator of issues; may adjust protocol for participants; serves as liaison with funding agencies.
