Job summary

CarePlus NJ, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Psychiatrist to split 40 hours weekly between the Crisis Receiving and Stabilization Center (CRSC) on-site and outpatient services.

The role involves evaluations, medication management, and coordinating care for adults in crisis, with some telehealth components. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, prescribing medications, documenting plans, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited college or university.
• Residency completed in psychiatry.
• Current and valid New Jersey medical license.
• Experience treating SMI, SUD, and/or COD in crisis.
• Board-eligible or Board-certified in adult/general psychiatry and child/adolescent psychiatry; must obtain both boards within 3 years if board-eligible.
• Current CDS certification.
• Current DEA certification.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Driver's license; insurable by agency's auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• 20 hours per week on-site in the CRSC providing psychiatric services to adults.
• 20 hours per week providing outpatient psychiatric services, including evaluations, medication management, and telehealth.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to assess, stabilize, and develop treatment recommendations.
• Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications.
• Develop and review treatment plans with clients and team.
• Complete clinical documentation and records per requirements.
• Provide patient and family education on diagnoses and treatment options.
• Support continuity of care across crisis and outpatient settings.
