Job summary

The Psychiatric Social Worker II at Cooper Green Mercy Health Authority provides professional clinical counseling to help patients overcome behavioral and mental health challenges using psychotherapy and other evidence-based methods in a hybrid work setting after six months of training.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited program.
• Currently licensed as LICSW and LPC by Alabama boards.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments.
• Develop and monitor treatment plans with interdisciplinary team.
• Provide evidence-based counseling and psychotherapy.
• Coordinate care and referrals to social workers and community resources.
• Document assessments and plans in the EHR.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
