Job summary

Petit Psychiatry is seeking a Psychiatric Physician Assistant in Florida to assist, monitor, and manage patient care under physician supervision. The PA will perform evaluations, manage medications, and maintain EMR records, with a hybrid onsite/remote work setup.

Applicants should hold a Florida PA license, demonstrate strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and have empathy for patients. Psychiatry experience is a plus, with DEA/NPI preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed in FL to practice as a Physician Assistant (license in NY, OH is a plus).
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy.
• Must be adaptable and flexible; experience in Psychiatry is a plus.
• DEA certification preferred.
• NPI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Available for 18–20 hr per week (1099).
• Psychiatric evaluations.
• Reviewing and maintaining patients' medical histories and records and recording patients' progress in EMR systems.
• Medication management and ordering appropriate lab tests.
• Implementing treatment plans under the supervision of the medical director.
• Referral and follow-up of patients.
• Researching the latest treatments, innovations, and trends in the medical field.
• Hybrid position (onsite and remote).
