Job summary

General Motors Corporation in Milford, Michigan, is seeking a Calibration Engineer for Propulsion System Interface Calibration. You will develop engine calibration solutions across vehicles, embedded software, control algorithms and hardware.

The role supports emissions, performance, and regulatory requirements for ICE and PHEV programs, working with vehicle calibration, engine controls, software, hardware, emissions, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum two years in calibration, controls, diagnostics or related engineering.
Experience with data acquisition and analytical problem solving on complex systems.
Knowledge of powertrain or engine systems and related engineering principles.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, calibrate, validate and release engine control and diagnostic solutions.
Use data acquisition and empirical analysis to evaluate results and resolve complex issues.
Support engine, dynamometer, vehicle, and emissions development and validation activities.
Identify calibration risks, develop mitigation approaches, and support program objectives.
Collaborate across engineering and business functions and maintain documentation.
