The California Policy Lab at UCLA seeks a mid- to advanced-career Researcher (Project Scientist) to design and conduct policy-relevant research with state and local agencies in California. You will work with policymakers and people with lived homelessness experience, leveraging linked administrative data to inform solutions.

The role requires expertise in homelessness and health policy, causal inference, and management of research projects, data handling, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. required or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of homelessness or health policy.
• Experience with econometric methods for causal inference.

Responsabilités

• Conduct quantitative research and design analysis plans.
• Publish multiple reports and policy briefs annually.
• Implement diverse research designs including RCTs and quasi-experiments.
• Lead research teams and manage projects from start to finish.
• Supervise staff and provide professional development.
• Collaborate with state/local agencies to align a joint research agenda.
