Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care Information Systems seeks a Project Manager to support capital construction projects across HCIS. The role plans, coordinates, and manages the technology scope for office relocations, remodels, clinics, and labs, spanning design, construction, and activation phases.

Working in the PMO, you will apply PMI standards to deliver projects on time and within budget, coordinate with architects, engineers, and vendors, and manage technology budgets and schedules while

Qualifications

• Experience managing capital construction projects.
• Knowledge of PMI project management standards.
• Ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with budgeting and cost tracking.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in hybrid arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage the technology scope for small- to medium-sized capital projects.
• Apply PMI methodology and standard templates to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Serve as liaison between HCIS and Capital Management; coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop and track technology budgets; monitor design budgets and conduct variance analysis.
• Foster positive relationships with stakeholders across departments to support project goals.
• Support meetings, validate technology scope, and maintain regular communication with project stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation and SharePoint repositories.
• Review schedules across design and construction phases; propose corrective actions.
• Identify risks and escalate to Senior PM or PMO Director.
