Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager in Architecture and Engineering to support active and future projects from our San Francisco/Oakland offices. This role emphasizes coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and delivering projects from design through construction within time and budget constraints.

The position requires a BA/BS in Engineering with 2+ years in A/E and 6+ years in related experience, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Engineering from an accredited university with +2 years of relevant experience in the A/E field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• 6+ years of related experience in the A/E consulting industry, with experience managing clients or projects
• Licensed PE
• Experience working on A/E Design projects as a technical person or coordinator for Federal Projects such as DOD, NPS, or DOE, or for Municipal based projects
• Leadership and communication skills to coordinate multi-discipline teams
• Accountable and self-driven to complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Ability to know which decisions to make or which ones to seek guidance on
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences
• Sponsorship is not available now or in the future for this position.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a point of contact with a client
• Preparing scope and fee proposals for mulit-discipline projects
• Directing professional and technical staff to complete a wide variety of architectural and engineering projects
• Coordinating internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for execution of projects
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget while meeting client expectations with high quality
• Developing and monitoring a detailed project plan and schedule to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely manner
• Managing with change management
• Preparing, coordinating and facilitating project meetings. Preparing and maintaining the agenda with associated meeting minutes
• Tracking and managing finances on projects
• Leading and supporting projects through the full lifecycle of the project from identification to capture, execution, construction and closeout for development to Project Manager Role
• BA/BS in Engineering from an accredited university with +2 years of relevant experience in the A/E field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
