Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent work experience is required.
  • Degree in finance strongly preferred.
  • Three (3) plus years of experience in cost is required.
  • Competency in accounting methods and budgeting processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report on budgets, cash flow and completion costs for projects and contractors; provide corrective action as needed.
  • Review bid specifications, change orders and invoices; evaluate cost impact of scope changes and productivity changes.
  • Coordinate preparation of project work orders or purchase orders.
  • Provide cost engineering liaison with financial/tax departments and accounting teams.
  • Evaluate and report cost impact of scope changes and productivity changes.
  • Benchmark Eversource against other utilities by cost comparisons.
  • Provide actual man-hour, quantity and productivity input to planning to refine forecasts.
  • Establish and maintain a Project Cost Commitment Program to track actual vs. estimated costs.
