Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support multiple projects nationwide. You will develop basic to moderately complex cost and schedule baselines and assist the delivery team with financial controls and forecasting.

Responsibilities include collecting monthly cost and schedule progress, updating data, performing Earned Value Management, and preparing management reports while ensuring compliance with procedures and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze monthly cost and schedule progress.
• Evaluate and update data related to schedule dates, percent complete, resource requirements, subcontractor commitments, and project accruals.
• Develop time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts; validate project costs and update requirements as needed.
• Monitor progress of deliverables and actual expenditures versus forecasts.
• Perform Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and analyses.
• Prepare client and internal status reports to communicate cost status and document trends.
• Document and maintain project documentation and controls.
