Job summary

Browning Day in Indianapolis seeks Mid to Senior Project Architects to lead complex design projects across civic, cultural, healthcare and other sectors. You will direct construction documents, coordinate with consultants, mentor staff, and ensure code-compliant, sustainable outcomes.

The role blends hands-on design with client interaction in a hybrid work environment; you’ll oversee budgets, schedules and QA/QC, while advancing Browning Day standards and innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading staff toward common goals and client satisfaction.
• Strong ability to coordinate multi-discipline teams and consultants.
• Advanced knowledge of design techniques, codes, ADA and site design.
• Experience with construction administration and QA/QC processes.
• Ability to present technical viewpoints to clients clearly.
• Licensed architect or progressing toward licensure with timeline.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams through construction documents, CA, and site visits.
• Coordinate schedules, budgets, and hours for assigned scopes.
• Mentor project staff and collaborate with project managers/HR on performance.
• Oversee RFI/ASI responses, shop drawings, and field reviews.
• Maintain positive client relationships and ensure quality deliverables.
• Apply Browning Day standards and promote sustainable design.
